Amidst all the false teachings these days, there are still a lot of spiritual leaders that we can rely in our walk with God. These leaders encourage a spirit-led life instead of solely relying on their teachings which also displays accountability. One of the church leaders I look up to is our Senior Pastor in Victory Makati.
Today, I want to honor Pastor Dennis Sy not only for his dedication, wisdom, humility, love for God’s people, and hard work but for the effective leadership rooted in faith. Here are ten (10) D’s of a Christ-centered leader that our VMak Family gets to learn from him:
Dependence
Relying on God for guidance, strength, and wisdom in every aspect of leadership.
Discernment
Seeking spiritual insight to make decisions aligned with biblical truths and God’s will.
Discipline
Committing to self-control, integrity, and personal growth in all areas of life.
Delegation
Empowering and trusting others by sharing responsibilities and cultivating their gifts.
Direction
Providing a clear vision and purpose that aligns with Christ’s teachings and mission.
Dedication
Demonstrating a steadfast commitment in serving God, and his mission to the community.
Development
Investing in the growth and spiritual maturity of team members, encouraging learning and discipleship.
Discipleship
Actively mentoring and guiding others in their faith journey, helping them grow closer to Christ through relational and intentional discipleship.
Devotion
Cultivating a deep and personal relationship with God through prayer, worship, and studying Scripture.
Determination
Maintaining perseverance and resilience in the face of challenges, guided by faith and purpose.
The above principles encourage us to embody a Christ-centered approach that fosters a healthy, loving, and effective community. Thank you Pastor Dennis for your life!
