Instant, easy to prepare, and/or easy-to-cook budget friendly recipe ideas you can serve either at breakfast, lunch or dinner. Perfect during this CoVID crisis.
70+ recipe ideas worth 100 pesos or less
Over a month now, a young mom asked me for dishes she can cook for her budget of P60 per meal for a small family with two kids. I gave her some of my suggestions and promised her that I’ll send more to her or blog some recipes she can use so that other moms could also benefit.
As a wife for almost 25 years now and a mom of two grown up children, I learned a lot of recipes from scratch. Because, frankly, I don’t know how to cook until I got married so thanks to my understanding husband for bearing with me and gave me lots of chances to learn ha-ha. I can’t forget those overcooked vegetables and foods that were supposed to have broth but became fried and sautéed dishes who later turned into a soup type of dish hahah.
So, over the years, there are budget friendly recipes that I have been preparing for my family. These may be easy-to-cook or easy recipes that you can also try. I am sharing with you the list of more than 70 dishes worth P50 to P100 and/or up that you can serve as heavy breakfast, hearty lunch or light dinner.
Amid the CoVID-19 crisis now, these recipes will be useful as well to maximize your budget and ideal for a one to two months lockdown. I have provided the recipe and cooking instructions on some of those dishes on different blog posts and you must click the name of the dish to view it, others I’ll try to include in this blog post (I will keep on refreshing this post from time to time for the recipes and additional ideas)
Keep in mind that it depends on how many of the household will be consuming each dish, but let’s assume that each meal will be good for a family of 3-4.
