One thing I noticed, most book lovers are coffee lovers, too! Am I right about that? Yeah, because, they want to remain focused (not only awake) while reading, agree? And the best possible way that I could think of, is either you sip some coffee or munch on something while having your favorite pastime. And its great to know that Book & Borders Cafe decided to come up with something where you could put them together in just one place!
Book & Borders Cafe
Book and Borders Cafe is the newly opened book haven and café in one, launched earlier at 281 Tomas Morato, Quezon City. Set to become one of the metropolis’ popular hangouts, this inviting café will surely capture customers who have an appreciation for good books as well as good food and coffee.
Unlike any other crowded café where people are more engaged in chit-chat, the Book and Borders Cafe have purposely turned their space into something that is more relaxed and quiet. Not to mention the lively and chic theme they have.
This is because the café encourages customers to go through their extensive selection of books, and take their time to hang out or read. In fact, the café also makes book stands available for its customers, to make reading their chosen book, much easier.
Complementing the nice ambience and the library aspect of the café are their delicious light fare and refreshing drinks.
Aside from delicious muffins, breads, cupcakes, pies, tarts, squares, doughnuts, and cakes (Salted Caramel Chocolate Cake), Book and Borders also serves more filling menu options like pasta (Truffle Mushroom Pasta, Tuyo Pasta), sandwiches (Beef Pastrami Panini), even salad and breakfast option. For drinks, there’s coffee of course, in a variety of options, as well as refreshing smoothies for hot days.
The cafe’s brand ambassadors, Karylle and Benjamin Alves are both book lovers. They represents what the café wants to promote very well–that is to encourage the habit of reading as well as indulging in one‘s love for coffee. The two self-confessed book lovers were present at the café’s grand opening earlier. Guests were treated with the cafe’s bestsellers, and were given the chance to enjoy the selection of books that are available.
With its awesome tagline, Read. Sip. Dine. Book and Borders is definitely a must-try not just for book and coffee lovers, but for anyone who is looking for a nice place to hang out in the busy metro.

There’s something similar to this here in Cebu. It’s called Books and Brews. I wrote about it, too. Yes, coffee and books are a great pair!
