During my kids’ childhood days, we have taught them important moral lessons through bedtime stories and fables that we read to them. One of the most celebrated stories that my hubby and I have shared with them was that of the Goldilocks and the Three Bears. The story taught them the value of respect for other people’s property, self-control, and that their actions towards others may have consequences.
The wards of the Chosen Children Village Foundation (CCVF) learned those lessons and more through stories told by teen sweetheart Liza Soberano at a recently concluded story telling event held at Cake City, Manila.
Goldilocks, the country’s number one bakeshop, mobilized its volunteers to host the event for CCVF, which was handpicked by Liza as beneficiaries. Aside from the enjoyable storytelling and reading activities, CCVF also received new books and a cash donation from Goldilocks.
The CCVF is a is a home for mentally and/or physically challenged children, located along Km. 49 in Lalaan 2, Silang, Cavite. The village is a haven, a home for life, for abandoned children who are physically and mentally challenged.
