I’ve always been a fan of video and computer games ever since my childhood days. From the famous and classic Super Mario, Galaga and Pac-man games to cooking, fashion and gardening games, I bet you wouldn’t believe it but I’m also a motor and car racing game fanatic haha. I also play cartoon-inspired games, word search, board, and other puzzle games. I was able to play these kinds of games through Atari, Nintendo Family Computer, Game and Watch, Super Nes, GameBoy, Flash and installed games on a desktop personal computer.
Back then, I need to copy and install an entire game with numerous large files to my personal computer and since I really play a lot, these game installers occupy most of my storage. Another downside was it’s taking too much of my PC system’s memory which of course affects the game’s performance—it slows down and worse, it usually hangs up before I even finish it or stops right in the middle of the game.
Moving forward, the rise of the Android games apps and downloadable PC/laptop games started to attract gamers. Although the game files compressed and smaller in size, they still occupy space and memory from your laptop, desktop and mobile devices.
I’m an avid fan of these types of video games, and fortunately I recently discovered Plays.org a free online video games site where I don’t need to download nor install an app in order to play. There is absolutely no need to pay fees for any upgrade and these can be played through any browser. Since it’s an online game, you only need an internet connection to play. You can enjoy them using your desktop, laptop, tablet or even your handy and personal smartphone.
Playing games regardless of the form, helps reduce stress and anxiety. With the ongoing pandemic, we really need to be engaged on something that could help us divert our attention from the daily stressful events and horrific news brought by this crisis.
A wide range of games is available including those popular and classic arcade games, educational games, brain-teasers and even games for hobbyists. You just need to pick from their game category catalog and choose from there. Check the listing below:
What’s also good with Plays free online video games, is that they’re suitable for all ages. No need to skip meals as well since you can stop or pause the game anytime, no strings attached dude!
If you’re looking for your favorite game, you may check it via the search button.
I looked for Pac Man and the Pac Rat game appeared. It’s a Pac Man inspired game so I clicked it and started playing.
Kids will surely enjoy Plays’ educational but fun games; they love colorful images. Below is Plays’ How Many Math Game good for a nursery/kindergarten kid who can help master his counting skills. Aside from the playful theme, it comes with a nursery song on the background; so enticing for them to play and learn right?!
For the advanced learners, the brain-teasing Multiplication Roulette is really an exciting way to sharpen a child’s multiplication skills. Instead of using a flash card, you need to spin and tap the two wheels to get the numbers to be solved before the timer stops. Learning should never be a boring process!
Who says coloring can be messy? I myself enjoyed playing this game; so easy to use! The Bible Coloring Game for Kids also aims to help children learn about parts of the Bible.
After choosing what page, just click the scene you like to put colors on it.
Assuming we picked the upper scene at the right page, the blue dot is your brush and the 2nd bar to the right side will be your eraser. The brush sizes are below the coloring area and the virtual crayons are on the left side.
I started with Adam’s hair and turned to color the apple, please excused the the unerased excess color, tadaaa!
The good news is, your child can keep and compile all his works since the virtual coloring book is also printable and downloadable in either PDF or WORD format.
Here in the Philippines, we call the game below as ‘bingo chess’ but Plays version is called Connect 4. The good thing about this online game, I don’t have to worry about losing any chips, I tend to lose some of them on the physical game.
And I can’t believe I’m a loser in this version!
Remember this brain-teaser on your mobile? This is also available in Plays.org as Wording Word Spelling Puzzle Game.
The free online games site features approximately one thousand choices. So, I guess my family and I will have a new ice breaker at home aside from playing board games, musical instruments and binge watching.
What I like the most from this free online games site, is that there are no unwanted and inappropriate ads flashing while you play. I can also say that the games at Plays.org are more likely to become a real stress reliever because those trending online games right now sometimes become more detrimental to one’s health rather than helpful. People under the state of anxiety and depression looks for a coping mechanism; not something they will be hooked or attached too much only to get stress eventually.
