Mommies, school classes are about to resume next week in all public schools and on the other week for most private schools!!! And we all know that this would mean back to hectic schedule again for us parents especially moms: GETTING UP EARLY TO PREPARE HEALTHY DISHES FOR THE KIDS!
With this, California Raisins invited us for a short media briefing to share how it can help parents and guardians prepare delicious and healthy dishes for our children in time for the start of the coming school year.
Trade Promotions Director (Southeast Asia) of the Raisin Administrative Committee Richard Lieu revealed:
California Raisins are fat and cholesterol free, low in sodium, and naturally sweet with no added sugar. California Raisins are versatile enough to be added as natural sweeteners to various recipes that children can take as ‘baons’ for school.”
Apart from the wonderful health benefits it provides, California Raisins are actually one of the best ingredients in preparing delicious school meals and snacks for your kids.
Parents can combine raisins with fruits, nuts, and cereals to make quick trail mixes or energy bars, mix them with chopped chicken, ham, or tuna for sandwich spreads they can enjoy with wheat bread, bagels, or pita, or toss them with vegetable or fruit salads, beef stews, menudo, meatloaves, tacos or burritos, they can also be served on their own as snacks, instead of other unhealthy treats with lots of processed sugars, saturated fats, and sodium.”
