After the whipped coffee craze last March, Dalgona Milo took place. Although I’m a coffee lover, I think I would prefer this over the Dalgona Coffee. Why? First, I was asked by my physician to refrain from taking coffee. And though Milo was included from his no-to list too, I guess there’s a much lesser threat to my health. And please, let’s not talk about sugar yet haha. Second, after taking Dalgona Whipped Coffee that night, I was awake for almost 24 hours! For someone who can’t sleep easily, I don’t think I need that hahaha. Well, except for instances that I really need to be awake. Lastly, who wouldn’t want any chocolatey stuff, right?
Moving over, Whipped Dalgona Milo is not as easy as I thought. It’s not just substituting the coffee ingredient with the Milo granules. The challenge lies with the mixture. It’s much harder to make it stiff as I wanted it to be. So, the first try was a really an epic fail, waaah!
So, my daughter helped me by doing a little research. And guess what’s the ingredient? It’s the whipped cream! Take note, you’ll have to cheat your way on this one to really make it stiff!
Since Milo is already a bit sweet, unlike the coffee, which is naturally bitter to taste, you have the option to change the ratio I suggested for my previously post Whipped Dalgona Coffee.
And make sure that the whipped cream, you’ll be adding will be fresh from the refrigerator.
So here it goes:
Dalgona Milo
Ingredients:
2 tbsp Milo
1 tbsp sugar (or 2 tbsp if you want it sweeter)
2 tbsp hot or boiling water
Whipped cream
Half glass of fresh milk
Ice cubes
How to make Dalgona Milo
Whisk together the first three ingredients: Milo, sugar and water. Then pour the mixture into the whipped cream and keep on whisking until it becomes stiff.
Once you’ve achieved your desired stiffness, add the ice cubes to the milk and top it with the mixture.
Don’t forget to drizzle it with some Milo granules!
